When the Stars Align

  • O'Reilly Theatre Denmark Street Great Dublin, Dublin Ireland (map)

This year's PalFest Ireland Finale Concert on Saturday 16th July at the O'Reilly Theatre will be a stellar affair with DECLAN O'ROURKE, FRANCES BLACK, STEVE WALL, DYLAN TIGHE and LISA LAMBE.

This year's nine-day PalFest Ireland has raised the bar for bespoke arts festivals with an astonishing programme of events that includes international prize-winning film, acclaimed drama, readings by award-winning authors, dynamic alt rock, inspirational live poetry, traditional Irish music, world class jazz, lectures, informed discussion and, making a celebrated return, Palestinian cookery demonstrations.

The gala finale concert on July 16th promises to be the most dazzling concert in PalFest's illustrious history.

DECLAN O'ROURKE, with his reputation growing worldwide, is the man described by Paul Weller as writing "the sort of classic songs that sound like they've been around forever."

FRANCES BLACK has been enjoying critical acclaim for her heartfelt interpretations of folk and contemporary songs since the 1980s. Frances is now an elected Senator in the Irish Seanad.

STEVE WALL not only fronts two enormously popular rock bands, The Stunning and The Walls, but also is an in-demand television actor with roles in Silent Witness, Vikings, Moone Boy and Rebellion.

DYLAN TIGHE is an award winning actor and musical artist who operates in various media and has rightly been receiving praise for his adventurous work in pushing out the boundaries of Ireland's music underground.

LISA LAMBE took time out of her busy theatre schedule to record her debut album in Nashville and tour extensively, an itinerary that included a thrilling performance at Glastonbury.

Photographer FATIN AL TAMIMI, chairperson of the IPSC and a prominent member of the Dublin Palestinian community, will read a significant poem for the occasion.

These STARS ALIGN on Saturday 16th July for a spectacular concert that will celebrate the success of this year's PalFest.

The show will be followed by a PalFest Ireland club night with music from DJ Billy O'Hanluain.
