TERMS & CONDITIONS
Here at TakeYourSeats.ie we like to provide you with as many services as possible, and this includes selling tickets for some of the events we cover on our website. We want to make sure you know where you stand whenever you buy tickets through us.
Please note there are no refunds or exchanges on any tickets. All sales are final.
The Company
The website www.takeyourseats.ie, our booking pages at tys-tickets.takeyourseats.ie and takeyourseats.ticketsolve.com, and the branded booking pages we run for venues and festivals on the Ticketsolve platform (for example bramstokerfestival.ticketsolve.com) — together, “the website” — are operated by Take Your Seats Limited, a company registered in Ireland, 78 Benburb Street, Dublin 7, D07 HW61 (“we”, “us”, “the Company”). Where a booking page carries a venue’s or festival’s branding, the booking is still processed by us and these terms apply.
1. Acceptance
When you use the website to purchase tickets you accept these terms and conditions. You confirm your acceptance by ticking the box provided before you pay for or confirm your purchase.
2. Agency
When we sell tickets for events on the website we do so as an agent for the event organiser, whether that is a venue or a promoter. As a result:
- (a) We are not responsible if the event does not take place. If an event is officially cancelled we can issue refunds and/or tickets to an alternative event by the same event organiser according to the arrangements the event organiser puts in place, but this remains the event organiser’s responsibility.
- (b) We are not responsible for the venue at which the event takes place or for anything that happens within it. If something happens to you at an event that is not your fault, you will need to take it up with the event organiser.
- (c) We are not responsible for the event itself. We hope you enjoy it, but if you are dissatisfied for any reason you will need to take it up with the event organiser.
- (d) We are not responsible if you are refused entry for any reason, including lateness, dress code or any other condition the event organiser applies at its discretion. We do not refund for late arrival.
- (e) Tickets bought from unauthorised resellers cannot be validated and entry will be refused.
3. Information
We make every effort to keep the website up to date, but we cannot be held responsible if information on the website proves to be incorrect or inaccurate.
4. Trade marks
The name TakeYourSeats.ie and the logos used by the Company on the website are the Company’s copyright and trade marks, except for trade marks and other intellectual property owned by third parties. You must not use any trade marks or copyright material, whether owned by the Company or by third parties, for any purpose without permission.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Company disclaims all liability to you for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, that you may suffer through using the website, purchasing tickets, attending an event or otherwise, whether arising under contract or otherwise. If the Company is found to owe you any liability, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for tickets for the event concerned. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Disputes
We hope disputes will not occur. If they do, they may be mediated in Ireland or dealt with through the courts of Ireland under Irish law.

PRIVACY POLICY
Version dated 10 September 2026. This policy explains what personal information Take Your Seats Limited collects when you use our website or buy tickets, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
Who we are
Take Your Seats Limited (“TakeYourSeats.ie”, “we”) is the data controller for bookings made on takeyourseats.ie, on our own booking pages and on the venue and festival booking pages we run on Ticketsolve. What we collect
When you buy tickets we collect your name, email address, phone number and location, what you booked and your order history; if you create an account, your login details and booking history. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and are never seen or stored by us. We also record your marketing choices, standard internet log information and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising cookie data, together with any correspondence you send us, including comments left at checkout.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your information to process your booking, take payment, deliver your tickets, send booking confirmations, reminders and essential notices about the event (such as a cancellation or change of time or venue), and to give the event organiser the list of ticket holders. This is necessary to perform our contract with you and serves our and the organiser’s legitimate interest in running the event.
We send our own email newsletter about events on TakeYourSeats.ie with your consent or, where you have bought from us, on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling you about similar events; you can opt out at checkout and in every email. We share your details with a named promoter for their own marketing only with your consent, given through the promoter’s optional box at checkout, which you can withdraw at any time. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with your consent through the cookie banner. We keep booking and payment records to meet our obligations under tax and company law, and rely on our legitimate interests to prevent fraud, handle disputes and answer your questions.
Who we share it with
Service providers process your information on our behalf and under contract: Ticketsolve (our ticketing platform, Dublin), Ticketsolve Pay powered by Mangopay S.A. (card payments, Luxembourg — a regulated e-money institution; your card details go directly to Mangopay), Mailchimp (our newsletter, USA) and, where you have accepted cookies, Google and Meta for analytics and advertising measurement.
Event organisers. The venue or promoter whose event you have booked receives a list of ticket holders — your name and what you booked — so they can admit you and manage the event. For most events they do not receive your contact details; if an event is cancelled or changed, we contact you ourselves. For some organiser-run events, such as school or society events, the organiser also receives your contact details to manage the event, and this is stated at checkout. Organisers may not use the ticket-holder list for marketing.
Promoter mailing lists. Some promoters ask us to offer their own opt-in at checkout. The box is always optional. If you tick it, we pass your name, email address and the show you booked to that promoter, who becomes a separate data controller and uses them to tell you about their shows and to reach you with their advertising on platforms such as Meta and Google. Currently this applies to Red Events & Distribution Ltd (United Kingdom). You can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing from the promoter’s emails or emailing info@takeyourseats.ie, and we will ask the promoter to remove you.
We do not sell your information. We may disclose it where the law requires, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.
Cookies and advertising
Our website (takeyourseats.ie) and our booking pages (tys-tickets.takeyourseats.ie / takeyourseats.ticketsolve.com) each show a cookie banner on your first visit. Essential cookies keep the site working and need no consent. Analytics cookies (Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, Mailchimp) are set only if you accept them, and you can decline or change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link on each site. Because the two sites run on different platforms you may be asked once on each.
Promoter advertising measurement. For some events — currently Red Events concerts — the promoter measures its own Meta or Google advertising. If you have accepted marketing cookies, those platforms receive the page view, add-to-basket and purchase events for that promoter’s event, with the ticket value and an order reference, but never your name or contact details. Declining marketing cookies switches this off.
Where your information goes and how long we keep it
Your information is held in Ireland and the EU by us and our main providers. Mailchimp, Google and Meta process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses; Red Events & Distribution Ltd is in the United Kingdom, which the European Commission has found to provide adequate protection. Customer, booking and mailing list records are removed after 3 years of inactivity, or sooner if you unsubscribe; records of consent are kept while the consent is relied on and for 3 years after it is withdrawn; financial records are kept for 7 years as required by law; cookie choices are remembered for up to 30 days on our website and as set by the booking-page banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it (including objecting to direct marketing at any time), withdraw any consent you have given, and receive the information you gave us in a portable format. Email info@takeyourseats.ie and we will respond within one month; we may ask you to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963 (www.dataprotection.ie).
Security and changes
We and our providers use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls and PCI DSS-compliant payment processing — to protect your information. We may update this policy from time to time; the version date at the top tells you when it last changed.
