About the concert
The programme is the music of Ludovico Einaudi, one of the most prominent names in neoclassical music, played live by Mystery Ensemble. Einaudi's seven-volume Seven Days Walking project, completed in autumn 2019, grew out of sketches of nature, moods and weather he made while walking in the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland. Music ran in the family: his mother played the piano, his maternal grandfather composed and conducted Italian operas, and his paternal grandfather, Luigi Einaudi, was the first president of post-war Italy.
