A Captivating Performance
Join us for a special theatrical event as The New Theatre and Bewley's Theatre present James Joyce's "Grace" during the Bloomsday Festival. This acclaimed production, featuring the talented actor and comedian Terry O'Neill, brings to life the classic Dubliners story with humor and depth.
About the Play
"Grace" is a tale of booze, bombast, and religious confusion that brilliantly satirizes the role of the Catholic Church in early twentieth-century Irish life. The story follows struggling salesman Tom Kernan, who is found drunk and injured in a pub toilet. His friends hatch a plot to save him from his errant ways, leading to a hilarious journey from purgatory to paradise.
