Gonzaga College SJ proudly presents 'My Fair Lady", a beloved musical that tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, who undergoes a transformation into a refined lady through the guidance of Professor Henry Higgins.
It’s a musical with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, based on George Bernard Shaw's play 'Pygmalion'. The show addresses issues of class disparity and gender roles, highlighting how language and appearance can influence social status.
With well loved songs such as "I Could Have Danced All Night" and "Wouldn't It Be Loverly,", My Fair Lady remains a classic, celebrated for its music and its story.
All guests are to be seated 10 minutes before the show begins. There is free parking at the school, but spaces are limited so public transport where possible is advised. There will be a tuck shop available on each night of the show, but please note that no external food or drink is permitted to be brought into the theatre. The show is suitable for all ages, but please take note of the running time for younger audience members.
