The Long Shadow of Alois Brunner

Description: A gripping theatrical performance by Collective Ma'louba that interrogates the true story of Alois Brunner, a notorious Nazi criminal who escaped sentencing. The play explores the lasting impact of Brunner's horrendous legacy, weaving together Syrian and German history to examine themes of exile, accountability, and political memory. Performed in Arabic with English subtitles, the show includes adult themes and references to genocide. Duration: 80 minutes + 30-minute post-show talk.
Painting with Flavours by James Kilgannon

Description: Brought to you by Writers' Tears, this mixology masterclass with Irish whiskey expert James Kilgannon will show you how to use unloved ingredients lurking in the back of your press to make show-stopping cocktails and mocktails. Having traveled extensively throughout the world promoting Irish whiskey – and being a firm believer of the mantra 'drink less, drink better' – Kilgannon will give a step-by-step guide on how to create two exquisite drinks at home. Kilgannon has worked in the drinks and hospitality industry for nearly ten years and will use his knowledge to help you elevate your Friday night drinks from a one-note wonder to a symphony of flavours. Alcoholic drinks bought off-site are not permitted, and all alcoholic drinks bought at the Festival Bar must be consumed within the festival grounds. Please drink responsibly. Duration: 60 minutes.
H.O.M.E by Fidget Feet & Tobi Omoteso

Description: A hilarious and insightful comedy show by Irish-Nigerian comedian Emman Idama, exploring his journey from Nigeria to Ireland and tackling social issues with humor and wit.
Simple Machines by Ugo Dehaes
Date: June 7-8, 2025
Venue: Cobhen Hall @ Carlow College
Description: An intimate performance where choreographer Ugo Dehaes showcases his robot dance troupe, born from slimy cocoons in his basement. The robots crawl, swing, and interact with the audience, telling the story of their creation and displaying unique choreography. After the performance, attendees can explore an installation featuring other robot designs and create their own robotic choreography. Duration: 45 minutes.
Symbiont & No One, Realistic as You by Cikada Circus & Lacunavicci

Venue: Geodesic Dome @ Carlow College
Description: This double-bill of new works is presented by critically acclaimed Irish company Cikada Circus in their own pop-up venue – a geodesic dome on the grounds of Carlow College. "Symbiont" is an acrobatic performance and living exhibition that shines a spotlight on the interaction of living organisms and technologies, whether for mutual benefit or to one's advantage. "No One, Realistic as You," by multidisciplinary artist Lacunavicci, explores the relationship between humanity and technology, presenting a cycle of false promises and incredible inventions. Duration: 75 minutes including a 15-minute interval.
Ye Vagabonds by Turning Pirates
