What's On in Ireland: October 2026

October brings a full month of live events to TakeYourSeats.ie venues across Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Mystery Ensemble play Miyazaki in Limerick and Cork and Tim Burton at the O'Reilly Theatre on Halloween, The New Theatre hosts theatre, spoken word and an album launch, the Viking Theatre has comedy and drama, and Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival events run from 23 to 26 October. Quintessence Theatre, in association with An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk, present a powerful portrayal of a child's life in the Irish foster care system. The Temple Bar Company presents a lively evening of new Irish voices, storytelling and performance exploring contemporary Dublin, identity and culture. SAMUEL | Oh Boy | Album Launch

Ada Alma and Frieda Freytag are SAMUEL, a Dublin-based multi-instrumentalist duo whose cinematic music fuses classical-tinged acoustic instrumentation with layers of electronic soundscapes. Joined by Rob Campbell on cello and double bass, they celebrate the release of their first album, Oh Boy. Hayao Miyazaki's Dreams by Mystery Ensemble — Limerick
